High School Team Sailing – Ages 13-18 years
Starts: March 23
Ends: June 30
When: Monday – Thursday @ 3:00 – 5:30 PM
Where: Richard O. Hartley Park Bldg, Lakewood Beach
Cost: $100 ; Free for First-Time Sailors
HIGH SCHOOL SAILING TEAM
High school students will learn to sail or improve their competitive skills to race in regattas against other school/state teams. Teens will sail with a focus on our Z420 fleet. All local area high school students are welcome to join the team! Non-high school age students may join the team but will be limited on which scheduled regattas they may participate. Students do not need any prior sailing experience; first-time sailors joining the team pay $0 since they will qualify for our scholarship program.
A school needs 4 sailors to form a full team – once created, the school can wear their own pinnies (school colors & logo) and have their team officially registered with ISSA (InterScholastic Sailing Association). Sailors can always sail and compete with other sailors from different schools under a ‘Mixed’ team but cannot qualify for ISSA regional or national regattas.

April 27-28 – MASSA Team Racing Champs – Norfolk YC
May 4-5 – MASSA All Girls Champs – Buffalo YC
May 11-12 – MASSA Silver Champs – Washington College, MD
May 18 – NY State Champs – Rochester YC
May 25 – Spring Fling Regatta – CLCSF
